When it comes to building industries, creating jobs, and inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs in Nepal, few figures stand out like  Saurabh Jyoti. A visionary business leader and one of the Sharks on Shark Tank Nepal, Jyoti combines technical expertise, sharp business instincts, and a deep dedication to youth empowerment.

He currently serves as the Chairman of the Padma Jyoti Group of Companies, a leading Nepali conglomerate with diversified interests across manufacturing, trading, services, and investments. With over 3,000 employees and operations spanning the country, the group is a strong advocate of sustainable growth, innovation, and sound corporate governance—principles that resonate deeply with today’s aspiring entrepreneurs.

Jyoti’s academic background reflects a clear commitment to excellence. After completing his schooling at St. Joseph’s College in Darjeeling, he earned a degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from B.M.S. College of Engineering in Bangalore in 1998. In 2022, he further enhanced his leadership abilities through the Advanced Leadership Program at Rice Business in the United States.

His entrepreneurial ventures span several key sectors that are vital to Nepal’s development. In the automotive industry, he leads Syakar Trading Company, the authorized distributor of Honda in Nepal, and has also founded brands like SJ MOTO and Bike Minded. He has invested significantly in infrastructure through enterprises such as Himal Iron and Steel, Himal Oxygen, and Himal Wires. His past engagements include contributions to healthcare and hospitality through Grande City Hospital and Aloft Kathmandu. His interest in digital innovation and communication highlights his belief in technology as a force for positive change.

Jyoti is especially known for his commitment to youth development. He has held leadership positions including President of the Nepal Young Entrepreneurs Forum and Chairperson of the SAARC Young Entrepreneurs Forum. As an advisor to the Start-Up and Innovation Committee at FNCCI and the Chapter Chair of YPO Nepal, he continues to mentor and champion young founders.
Outside of business, Jyoti runs a YouTube channel promoting Nepal’s motorcycling culture and natural beauty, and he hosts 360 Leadership, a talk show spotlighting trailblazers in business and technology. His efforts have earned him numerous honors, including the Boss Young Entrepreneur Award, the Nava Sahara Nepal Award, and the Youth Ambassador for Peace Award. A skilled public speaker, he is also a recognized member of the Everest Toastmasters Club.
